Frequently Asked Questions
Are there discounts for a business needing multiple AEDs?
As a general rule, apply an AED whenever someone is unresponsive. It is always better to attach an AED when it is not needed compared to not attaching an AED when it is. In Iowa, the "Good Samaritan Law" protects any person acting in good faith in an emergency. Any act or omission to act is protected by law. An AED will never harm someone and will withhold a shock if one is not needed. Perform CPR on the patient whenever you feel an AED is required. If you require formal CPR training for your employees, reach out, and we can set you up with our CPR training partners.
When do I use an AED?
Yes! We can provide discounted service and devices for those needing to stock several devices.
What will I receive when I purchase a plan?
What does the monthly inspection look like?
With the leasing or TOTAL plan, you will receive a new unused AED, cabinetry, signage, and a fast response kit that holds gloves, a razor, a CPR mask, and wipes. All will be installed at no extra cost. A technician will work with you for the best installation site based on current recommended guidelines. In ALL of our plans, a technician will visit your business site every month and physically inspect the device, run applicable tests, and replace any accessories at no additional cost.
We will work with you and choose a time that works for both of us to have the monthly inspection done. We will not come in for an inspection unannounced. When the technician arrives, they will do a thorough top to bottom inspection of the AED, cabinetry, and accessories. The technician will run applicable tests and ensure the device is in a ready state for an emergency.
No problem! We service all FDA-approved AEDs. A technician will visit your site before the finalization of your chosen plan and inspect your AED at no cost. If you have any expired/defective accessories, we will replace them at our supplier's current retail price. Additionally, you pay a lower monthly price if you already own an AED.
What if I already have an AED and want to keep it?
Can I cancel my service?
What if I end up using my AED in an emergency?
Of course, you can cancel anytime if you feel it is necessary. When you cancel, 30 days of continued service will take place. If you purchased the AED through our TOTAL plan, you keep everything following service.
In the event you utilize the device in an emergency, a technician will be out to your premises within 48 hours, with the goal to be at your location the same/next day. We will replace the accessories used at no additional cost and perform a post-use inspection and functionality test.
